Care

Burning your candle:

  • Always burn your candle in a well-ventilated space, away from draughts and direct airflow, which can cause uneven burning and sooting.
  • For the first burn, allow the wax to melt fully to the edges — this prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle's life.
  • Never burn for more than four hours at a time, and stop burning when 10mm of wax remains at the base.

Caring for your wick:

  • Before each burn, trim the wick to 5mm using a wick trimmer. This prevents high flames, smoking, and sooting.
  • After extinguishing, use a snuffer to put out the flame — never blow it out. Re-centre the wick while the wax is still warm.
  • If the wick moves toward the vessel wall during burning, extinguish immediately and straighten to prevent the vessel from cracking.
