Candle Care Guide
How To Get The Most From Your Candle
All of our candles are lovingly hand-poured to provide you with hours of fragrant pleasure. With proper care, you can enjoy a purer scent experience and maintain their quality for longer.
Burning your candle
- Always burn your candle in a well-ventilated space, away from draughts and direct airflow, which can cause uneven burning and sooting.
- For the first burn, allow the wax to melt fully to the edges — this prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle's life.
- Never burn for more than four hours at a time, and stop burning when 10mm of wax remains at the base.
Caring for your wick
- Before each burn, trim the wick to 5mm using a wick trimmer. This prevents high flames, smoking, and sooting.
- After extinguishing, use a snuffer to put out the flame — never blow it out. Re-centre the wick while the wax is still warm.
- If the wick moves toward the vessel wall during burning, extinguish immediately and straighten to prevent the vessel from cracking.
Safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Always place on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
